By Seattle standards this is a natural disaster. But it’s great not to have to commute today.

I’m a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas and the holidays, so I wasn’t sure how the trip to Florida would go. I have to say, it’s been lovely to be in a place with warm breezes, lovely beaches and outdoor dining for Christmas.
The kids are having a blast. Palm trees look great with Christmas lights.
Perhaps new traditions are needed.

OK, I know I’m getting old and of course everything was different when I was younger. But I feel like the day beofre Thanksgiving used to be more “normal.”
My parents both used to work, though i think my mom always had a half-day.
School was a full day.
Now it seems like everyone takes this week off, or at least today and spends the day running errands.
Of course, Black Friday actually used to start on Friday and not on Thursday afternoon.
Not that I mind any of these changes. Just noticing.
What do you think?
